Announcing Our Winter 2026 Grant Awards!
We are pleased to share that during our February 2026 grant cycle, the Marion I. & Henry J. Knott Foundation awarded more than $1 million in grants to organizations across the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
Through our General Grant Fund, nine organizations received a total of $421,985 in support of Catholic activities, education, health care, and human services. In addition, through the Foundation’s Strategic Youth Empowerment Initiative, three organizations were awarded just over $630,000 in multi-year funding (payable over three years) to strengthen Maryland’s youth. General Fund Grants
Catholic Activities
Franciscan Friars – Our Lady of the Angels Province, Inc. – $20,000 to support water infrastructure upgrades for their three-acre Little Portion Farm which produces fruits and vegetables for those in need including through partnerships with local organizations.
Jesuit Volunteer Corps – $31,985 to support the faith formation program given over the course of the service year for those volunteering in Baltimore, serving local organizations while living in community with each other.
Education:
Dyslexia Tutoring Company – $55,000 to support the work of this Baltimore-based program serving students with dyslexia through one-on-one tutoring as they work toward providing additional assistance through a mental health referral system.
Mother Seton Academy – $70,000 to support the Extended Day Program for this tuition-free Baltimore City independent Catholic School serving grades 6-8.
Mother Seton School – $50,000 to support upgrades to the science lab at this PreK-8 independent Catholic school in Emmitsburg.
Health Care
Keralink International – $40,000 to the scaling of a Baltimore-based mobile eye clinic in partnership with ViSION to provide essential vision care for free.
Human Services
Beyond Shelter – $85,000 to support the operations of the only Emergency Family Shelter in Frederick County, with capacity to house up to 10 families at any one time.
Food Recovery Network – $40,000 to support the Feeding Baltimore program, providing surplus produce in markets at Title 1 elementary schools in Baltimore City.
Westminster Rescue Mission – $30,000 to support the workforce development program that serves those in the community experiencing addiction and food insecurity.
Strategic Grants (Youth Empowerment)
The Complete Player Charity – $211,000 (over three years) to support the Young Leaders and Leaders in STEAM program, serving youth in both elementary and middle school in Northern Anne Arundel County. The program integrates academic support, social emotional learning, and experiential learning to show student growth in behavior, academic performance, and classroom engagement. The funds will be used to continue Complete Player Charity’s growth and help fill the need for stable after-school and summer programming.
MERIT Health Leadership Academy – $211,000 (over three years) to support the continued operation and stabilization of the Health Leadership Academy, which provides academic enrichment and career mentorship for Baltimore City high school students preparing for careers in health care and public health. The program includes Saturday learning sessions, career exposure opportunities, and a layered mentoring model. Funds will help sustain and strengthen the program to support its long-term viability.
Sisters Circle – $211,000 (over three years) to sustain and expand the program’s long-term monthly mentoring program and post-secondary advising model. This program provides 8th through 12th grade girls in Baltimore a one-to-one mentor and a variety of enrichment and college advisory services. The funds will be used to sustain the program’s focus on deep engagement and long-term outcomes.
